Making Watermarks

How I make watermarks using Gimp...

After spending hours creating your art, or the time spent shooting photos and then editing them, you'll want to protect your work from theft if you choose to post them online. I suggest placing the watermark near the center of your work without interfering with the overall view. This will make it harder for a thief to simply crop out the watermark. Choose a semi-decorative font for a nice look but good readability.

Note: You can follow the principles in any photo editing software, you just have to be familiar with it's tools and make adjustments.
